Parcel of Plenty is the brainchild of chef, former-restaurateur and local food fanatic, Babak (Bob) Abbaszadeh - known to many as Persian Bob! Originally hailing from Iran, Bob has found a home with his wife and 2 beautiful babies here in Newcastle, and has spent several years behind the pass of many a Newcastle commercial kitchen, including his hugely popular restaurants The Persian Place and The Residency Kitchen.
Bob’s time operating restaurants has helped him to build a network of suppliers for the highest quality, ethically-sourced local food. He knows the difference that restaurant quality produce can make not only on your plate, but also for the producers, and he is passionate about both. So he put together a list of all of his favourite suppliers from his chef’s little black book, and created Parcel of Plenty.
Parcel of Plenty allows the discerning home cook to bypass the supermarkets and their questionable produce purchasing practices. With Parcel of Plenty, you can have better food, better value, and still support local producers. Not to mention the convenience of knowing that your food will arrive at your doorstep when you want it, with literally nothing for you to do but unpack it into your fridge or freezer!
